Create a drill

The Octopodd app allows you to save your own drills or use the built-in ones. A drill is a structured exercise or test composed of one or more steps. Saving your drills in the app lets you easily load them later from the timer. When you launch a drill, the timer will display the details for each step, such as: “5 meters distance, from the holster, 3 shots in under 2 seconds, all in the alpha zone.” If you record your score after each run, you’ll be able to track your progress over time using the performance tracking tools. This is one of the key advantages of our system.

To create a drill, you must be an administrator of your Octopodd. If you see the “Admin” tab in the bottom right corner of the screen, tap it, then select the “Drill” button.

Choose the Octopodd you want to associate the drill with, give your drill a name and a description, and optionally add a difficulty level. Then, scroll down and tap “Create Drill.”

On the next screen, you can define the various steps of the drill, or just one if it’s a single-step drill. Follow the remaining instructions to complete and save your drill.
