The “Movement detected” message appears when the Octopodd’s sensor detects movement during a session.
Possible causes
- Laser safety – The system cuts off the laser for safety if the device moves during operation
- Shockwave – If you are using a firearm, the shockwave from the shot can cause the device to vibrate
- Floor vibrations – Vibrations transmitted through the floor can trigger the sensor
Solutions
- Make sure the Octopodd is placed on a stable surface
- Move the device away from the source of vibrations
- Use an anti-vibration mount if necessary
- Check that the tripod or mount is securely fixed
